All of these pictures were taken with a Nikon D40 at Billingham beck. For my first photoshoot I wanted to focus on nature and try to get some good natural pictures to combine with man made things, which will be my focus for another photoshoot. I tried a lot of different techniques but mainly tried to get deep focous shots of trees and bushes to put along side the pictures I will try to get on another photoshoot of man made things. A lot of the photos taken during this photoshoot were focused on the idea of nature overtaking and over-running man. To do this I tried to take photos of man made objects that had a lot of natural things around it, such as a gate that was overgrown with plants and weeds.
Nancy Duranteua is a photographer who likes to photograph a lot of different themes such as "to love," "ageless spirits" "loneliness and beauty" and most importantly, "Man vs Nature." When Nancy was photographing man vs nature, she was working on the idea of man trying to replace chaos with structure while nature fights for it's return, which results in a futile war. Nancy uses the techinque of taking photos where man made things are surrounded and covered in nature, or the other way around. The reason I chose to analyse this photographer is she takes similar photographs to what I will be, so I wanted to see what I could learn from her. I will take inspiration from this by taking my own photos of nature taking over man made objects. She mainly photographed things like train tracks and cigarette packets, things that are typically bad for nature, I will try to photograph technology, which is the reason nature has been forgoten about.
