All of these pictures were taken with a Nikon D40 at Billingham beck. For my first photoshoot I wanted to focus on nature and try to get some good natural pictures to combine with man made things, which will be my focus for another photoshoot. I tried a lot of different techniques but mainly tried to get deep focous shots of trees and bushes to put along side the pictures I will try to get on another photoshoot of man made things. A lot of the photos taken during this photoshoot were focused on the idea of nature overtaking and over-running man. To do this I tried to take photos of man made objects that had a lot of natural things around it, such as a gate that was overgrown with plants and weeds.

These photos were taken with a Nikon D3000 in Billingham. For this photoshoot, I aimed to find man made objects in a natural setting in order to make my work like Nancy Duranteau. I managed to find bottles and wrappers in bushes and also a brick that had been covered in moss, linking into the idea of nature taking over man made things. During the photoshoot, the lighting was changing dramatically as we go to different areas, forcing me to change the apature on the camera.

This picture is of a brick that has been taken over by moss. When I set off to take the photoshoot I was hoping to find bottles laid in bushes, but I saw this and immediately saw the connection to Nancy Duranteauand the theme of nature taking over man made objects. I think this photo is significant because a brick is something that is used to make buildings, and everyday natural areas are being destroyed to make more room for housing, so this picture is nature taking revenge. For this photo I used a shallow focus to capture the brick but not the background to draw all the attention to the brick and the moss covering it. To take this photo I got low down to the brick's level but I made sure I was above the brick slightly so I could capture all of the top of the brick because that is where the moss mainly was.

This photo is of a path, with grass and bushes either side. It was taken at the same place as the brick with the same camera, a Nikon D3000. I think this image combines the work of Nancy Duranteau, in the sence that nature is surrounding a man made object and the path is dividing nature but also Sparky Campanella because his work is about lines dividing man and nature but in this photo, man is dividing nature. I tried to use a deep focus for this photo because I wanted to include the whole path so the path didn't jsut end at the top of the photo.
